Maternity leave in Express Entry profile

Dear all, thank you for such a great opportunity to ask, would you please help, I am a bit frustrated:

how should I reflect my maternity leaves in my EE profile, if I have been working for one Company,
and had two separate maternity leaves during that period.
Should I show one period of work experience (several years) or should I break it into two shorter work experiences, within the same Company. One one hand, I am afraid it will leave negative impression - like I have been fired and then hired again. On the other hand, if I enter continous, uninterrupted work experience, will it be considered misrepresentation? In addition, maternity leaves here are long, 1,5 years.

In my reference letter, work experience will be shown as continous, because maternity leaves are countered as employment and are paid (from social insurance source), but taxes are not paid.

Taking all above into cosideration, will it be correct to sudstract leaves, show shorter separate periods of employment in EE profile, then present a reference letter with continous experience and enclose a LOE, where I will explain, why I substracted such and such time periods.

The point is - does impression matter? will such interrupted work experience influence officer's decision whether to make me eligible or not?

P.S. I have calculated points for FSW and used official EE points tool - I seem to be eligible.

your advice will be highly appreciated.

If you reference letter has all of your work experience, then no need to declare Maternity leave anywhere.

I feel your reference letter should be followed. No need to mention the maternity leaves. I received 30 days annual vacations each year & we have been treating it as part of our work experience, anyway. So no, you are good to go :) Good luck!!

Hi, Can I ask how did you do at last in such situation, and what is the result? because I have the same question now. Could you give me some advice?
