Masters OINP 2nd educational credential

I see that we get extra 5 points if we have two educational credentials from Canada in Masters OINP. I already have a masters and I have applied for OINP. Can I enroll in a second certification course now or not?

So you have a second Canadian program that you graduated from? When did you complete your masters? If not, you don’t get points.

I completed my master's last year in August. I am also thinking of enrolling in a 4-month certification program. On OINP's portal, if you add a second credential, even if the graduation date is in future, it gives me an extra 5 points. So, I want to confirm that can I enroll in another program when I have already filed for OINP or not.

A 4 month certificate doesn’t give you 5 points. So you need to enrol in a year long program full time.

Credential must be for a post-secondary education credential from an eligible Canadian institution that takes at least one year to complete on a full-time basis.

Then make sure you are still eligible because you must apply within two years of completion of Masters.

In the master's student stream, I have 1 year of Master's already, and when you choose another credential it gives you the option for the certificate before or after your bachelor's and a lot of other options for credentials. I didn't find anywhere that the second credential had to be 1 year too. Can you send me the link for that? And yes, It's been less than 1 year since I have completed my masters so that's not an issue. Only doubt I have is, can I enroll in a certification program if I have already registered for OINP?

No Master’s is the same. It may count it now but you will have to show that you completed the year long program if nominated. So no point in counting points now because you have yet to start a program.
