Good people, please help.
I am on H1-B visa in the USA and my husband is on H-4(dependent) in the USA. I want to apply for a Masters Degree in Biology/Biotechnology in a few Toronto Universities.
Questions:
1. Can they deny us student visa? My husband will be a dependent, and we want to enter the country together.
2. What are the chances of him getting a work permit and how long is it valid for?
3. How long do we have to live in Canada to apply for the Federal Skilled worker program? I already have 2 years of experience in a large pharmaceutical company and still working.
Is that a good way to get permanent residency in Canada?
We have tried the Federal skilled worker and had low points so got denied. If I am the primary applicant we still get lower than 67 points (we get like 65 to 66). It seems I need to wait at least a year more to get more experience, and we are tired of waiting. I tried applying for jobs in Canada from US but no luck! We really really want to live in Canada! Thank you for your help!
