Marrying Cousin / Additional Family Members

I am marrying my cousin and filling out the spousal sponsorship forms. It's super confusing, see my questions below.

1) Since we are cousins there is a lot of overlap on the family members we share and it really makes it complicated. IMM5532 - Relationship Evaluation is asking how we knew each other before marriage and what family members we have in relation. That's going to be massive and I'm not sure how to answer it.

2) Since I am the Principal Applicant's Spouse as well as the Sponsor it seems like a lot of duplicate information to fill out. For example on the IMM5562 - Travels document it asks for Principal Applicant's travels and then also their Spouses which will be me at the time of filling out the form. I just don't understand why the government would care about my travels in this case.

for application purposes, you are not the "spouse", you are only the sponsor and need to ONLY fill out sponsor forms. The "spouse" and "family members" IRCC is indicating is when a couple or family are applying for PR together in the same application. Since you are a canadian citizen or pr, you do not need to fill out any applicant forms.

Hmm... You would need to explain the circumstances of how the relationship and the marriage eventually happened anyway so I would take the time to explain as much as I could if i were you.
