Hi,

I'm married and got a kid. However I would like to apply for myself only for the time being. Is this possible? If yes, do I need to show only the funds required for one person?

thanks

its possible, but you still have to provide your partner and family details in your application. They must do medicals despite they are immigrating or not. Sponsoring them later on will be hassle and much easier know. You need $10K for single applicant and $17K for 3.

Not providing their details on your application can result in refusal, revoke of PR or citizenship later on.

Yep...
I did posted this before...I dont know, but, if you wont include these with your application, it might be incomplete and returned without processing or anything.

I also second what above posted. IF you are married you are married, untill decided by the court.
Proof has to be provided.

Else their is Non-Accompanying Spouse, but, like mentioned above. The Guide says;

All applicants must undergo a medical examination.
You and your family members, whether they will be accompanying you or not, must undergo and pass a medical examination. (Page 40)....

The Guide also mentions that they have to Fill the Schedule 1 Background Declaration form and Additional Family Form;

your spouse or common-law partner (whether accompanying you to Canada or not);
your spouse or common-law partner (whether accompanying you to Canada or not) (Page 26)....and (Page 31)..

Yes its possible,
Yes u need to show POF for one person
If ur VO is LONDON u will have to attach a declaration that u intend to move to Canada, without ur family and they will have to abide by the immigration rules afterwards to join u there.
