Hi,

I don't know where to post this topic but I want to verify all is correct for our marriage in Vietnam.
We plans to marry in end of december, I know some of you married a vietnamese citizen so I ask from your experience.
I'm canadian and my girlfriend vietnamese of course and I got the documents listed on the Vietnam ambassy in Canada.
All have been authenticated by the departement of foreign affair except the Application for marriage registration and
the Biographic information sheet because they were not certified by a notary before. I didn't kown I should have make
these paper with my notary. So do I really need to authenticates these paper and to legalize them ? My girlfriend tell me
just to send the paper to her, I dont need to authenticates and legalize these 2 papers. Is she right? She ask to some in VN.
So I will legalize only, the copie of passport and birth certificates, Statement in lieu of Certificate of non-impediment, marriage search,
Single status declaration and Power of attorney. The traduction will be made in VN to save some money.
This summer we already made the Medical Certificate in VN.

Is everything is right or do I need to rush to my notary and to drive to ottawa to authentificates the fastest possible these 2 documents ?

Thanks you a lot,
Eric P.

I would advise you to Contact the Canada Legalization Services, they can provide the full package which you need to get married in Vietnam and any other countries. Also, they authenticate and legalize the marriage documents in Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. These guys do not rip you off unlike lawyers. This Company has reasonable rates and they work fast and efficiently.
