Can someone please explain if a work permit holder marry a international student in canada, then will the student get the work permit too or will have to complete study? If so, then is there anything that can help get the student on work permit as well?

The student can apply for an open work permit after marriage provided their spouse holds a NOC A, B or 0 job.

There is also nothing stopping the international student to continue to finish his/her study while waiting for the work permit application.
