Hello,
I am Canadian and my fiancée is American. I know if I was wanting to marry my American fiancée in the US I would need a K-1 visa. However, I was wondering if there’s any process like the K-1 visa required for me and my fiancée to get married in Canada instead? Or if he could just simply come visit and we could get married?

He can come as a visitor as Canada has no equivalent to the K-1 visa, but currently he needs to be exempt from the travel restrictions. He needs to satisfy the officer at the border that:
  • You have been a couple for at least a year and have spent some time living together in-person.
  • He has ongoing ties to the US (residence, job, etc.) that will compel him to return there.
  • He will quarantine for 14 days.

He does satisfy all the requirements, the only issue will be getting off from work for 15 days! Thank you so much for your response it was very helpful. Do you know anything about getting married in the US and than me returning and applying for a CR-1 visa? As it would be much easier for me to go there.

Even though you can normally just show up at the border and be waved through as a non-immigrant visitor, planning to marry a US citizen is an immigrant intent that requires a K-1 visa, so if they ask you what the purpose of your visit is, you would land yourself in trouble.
