Hi,

Myself and my fiancee are planning to get married in Ontario, Canada. I am a Canadian citizen and she is not. I am gathering the required information on the documents needed and the translations needed. The Ontario website says:

bring 2 pieces of government-issued identification for each person getting married. One piece of identification must include your photo.
Examples of government-issued identification:
  • government-issued birth certificate, including any change of name certificates
  • valid passport
  • record of immigrant landing
  • Canadian Citizenship Card
  • valid driver’s licence
  • valid Ontario Photo Card
Which ones need to be translated, by whom, and where? Should she bring originals to Canada and get these translated and notarized here by Canadian public notary?

Any insights / guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.
