Marriage Certificate

So we sent in all of our papers on Friday (with the long form copy of the marriage application without the marriage certificate) because we were told we could always send the marriage certificate later....well today we received the marriage certificate.

How should we go about sending in the marriage certificate now? Or should we wait and send it if it is requested.

You probably should wait until you receive AOR (3 mths from now at current speed) and have a file # to supply any supporting docs.

If you were required to send the original, I would say wait but as you are only required to send a photocopy, you may as well send one now. Include a cover letter with your names, DOBs and address so they can match it up to your file.

On the off chance that they don't match it up, you've only lost $1 on postage and can just send another photocopy.
