I'm a naturalized Canadian and married my girlfriend in the Philippines. While we're gathering the necessary documents for her sponsorship we noticed that there was a mistake on my citizenship, instead of Canadian they wrote down Filipino. I inquired with Philippine Statistics Authority and they said I have to make a petition through the court and I'll have to be there personally. Question is, will this be a big problem with CIC and cause refusal for our application, even though I acquired a Statutory Declaration in the Canadian embassy in Manila? They also made a mistake with my parents citizenship, good thing is they are dual citizen. Thanks for your inputs.
