I am 36, bachelor and has been assessed under the old system.
I have recently completed my interview and visa officer is likely to issue me medical papers.

If I plan a marriage now , what may be the consequencies on processing of my case?
Or shall I postpond the marriage till I land in Canada? YOur advice can help me in making decision.

Thanks,
haris

1. IF you marry prior to "landing" your visa is invalid and you have to add your spouse.
2. If you marry, then "land" without having your spouse examined, then your spouse is not a member of the family class and cannot be sponsored and you most likely would be reported for misrepresentation.
3. So, land, return home marry, return to Canada and then sponsor your spouse.

but sponsoring after landing will take too long for her to be sponsored and do he need to show proof of earning in canada to sponsor his wife?

1. The OP has two choices as outlined. Taking too long is tough, but that's the way it is.
