Marriage after PR ...How to add the spouse?

I just landed on 8/2010. I went back to my home country and I'll got married soon.
My spouse (soon to be) is not PR in Canada.
So how to sponsorship my spouse? do I need to be working in Canada?
Or
I could stay with my spouse at my home country till we complete the application - then move together to Canada?

Maz, read the first post in the Family Class Sponsorship thread titled at the top (sticky) "Spousal sponsorship" that's a great place to start

As PR, you need to be in Canada in order to sponsor your wife. You don't need to work in Canada although you need to prove you are financially capable to feed yourself and your spouse.
