what are the rules and conditions of a marrage visa?

how long do you have to be married for and what information is needed?

i have been engaged for over a year and she is now pregnant, she is from the states and we do not want our child to be born with out me there, but i am unable to move at this time so she wants to move up here with me.

There is no minimum time you have to be married in order to apply for sponsorship based on marriage. In other words, you can file for spousal sponsorship immediately after getting married. In addition, if you are not married but have been living together for a minimum of one full year, then you can apply for spousal sponsorship as a common-law couple.
