Hi,

I'll keep this short.

I graduated with a BE (Computer Engineering) in 2019.

Have been working in Marketing since then as a writer (2 years) - focusing on technical content and web content for IT companies.

Applying for a PG Diploma in digital and content marketing in 2021. Will my educational history be a red flag on the SOP? Any advice to make my SOP better in such a case?

Your education may be a red flag. You need to show why you need a Canadian diploma in marketing to advance your career back home. So why do you need to spend thousands of dollars on the program? Is this course not available online or in your home country - that is what the officer wants to know.

Hello,

IRCC sees progression to be a correlation of your prospect study to either your previous education and/or work experience.

In this case, your prospect study relates to your work experience of about two (2) years which demonstrates study progression and the program level of PGD suits well.

Now, the onus is for you to be able to explain to the VO, the relevance of the prospect study to your career advancement and/or self-development.
