Marked no for Visa refusal on TRV..What to do for PR?

Hi,

My brother applied for his Canada Visitor visa in March to visit Canada this summer. He got his visa and will be visiting Canada soon.

Just while having a conversation about the application we realized that by honest mistake in his TRV application he marked no for "Has your visa ever been rejected". His UK visitor visa was rejected in 2011.

Now, he is hoping in next 2-3 draw he will receive an ITA for his PR application. What do we do now? We don't want to lie on the application as eventually if he is caught they can revoke his PR status or event citizenship for misrepresentation.

Can this happen? Will they cross-check his visitor visa application and PR application?

Seen this happen before, the only way around it is what canbnd said to do.

You should answer yes. Honest answer is the best. And previous visa rejection won't affect unless it was due to criminal activities. You can simply answer yest and explain what happened.

Do I need to explain or just right yes and explain if they come back?
