hi, can someone please advise me how to inform/update cic with a change on my marital status? i got married after i got my temp work visa approved and just before i left for canada. my passport and my temp work permit still reflects my maiden name. i recently just got access of my marriage cert. how do i update my status with cic? is there a need to update cic? im in canada now and the rest of my docs and ids here reflects my married name now that i have my marriage contract to show for it. i tried changing my sin status from single to married and they say they cant do it, i only got as far as changing from maiden to married name. what do i do? and how do i update cic about my marital status change? i want my docs to be consistent and i also plan to bring my husband here soon so its really impt that i get my status updated. pls help.
