I got married 2 years ago outside Canada, but my wife was not physically present during the ceremony, so the marriage is not recognized by IRCC. We could not live togather in the past 2 years because covid19 travel restrictions, but now we live togather in Canada.
Now, I need to extend my TRV, and I am confused what I should put my marital status in the application. The requirements of both "married" &"common-law partner" are not satisfied yet.
I am thinking of putting "married" and adding explanation to match my study permit extension application submitted in the past (I was not aware of the proxy issue that time), or putting "unknown"?
Not sure which is appropirate and I would appreciate your help.
