We got married not even a month ago here in Canada. As we are preparing for our inland spousal sponsorship, one of the reqs. is to get an nbi clearance from the Philippines. Do I need to change my marital status there from single to married even if our marriage has not been registered in the Philippines yet? Would it be okay to proceed stating that I’m single on my nbi clearance?

Please help I’m so confused :(

I think thats fine. Cause it appear the same name of your birth certificate

I have the same situation...Married March 2019 and renew NBI clearance May 2019.

Just put married and your husband's surname will be included on the NBI clearance. Hope this helps.
