Marital Status Change

Hello Sir/Ma'am,

I received ITA for my PR application under CEC stream and I have completed all the documentation and paid fees for my PR application.

I had family urgency and traveled to India. While I am in India right now, I am getting married soon. I am wondering how my application will be affected?

I know my points will not be recalculated as I have already submitted all of the documents and just waiting for decision. Timeline shows decision will be made by mid February. If I want to travel back along with my spouse what will I need to do next and what documents I will require? Also, how I should inform IRCC about my status change?

Once you get married, raise a webform and inform about the change in marital status. IRCC will ask for documents for your spouse. Your spouse can only travel to Canada once your PR application is approved and a COPR with visa is issued. If you want, you can apply for a visitor visa for them if they want to travel before that. However, visitor visa has chances of get rejected.
