Taking my Oath on Monday (in person) in Kitchener. All up it was 5 months from application submission (March 15th) to Oath date (August 18th), good luck to everyone with pending applications!

What happens if my PR status expires by not meeting residency obligations while waiting for citizenship application approval outside of Canada?

Does the application become invalidated? Because I won't be a PR when I receive my citizenship?

If your LR expires you can apply for a new card! Your status doesn't expire. It's not like work or study permit. Don't worry

Has anyone ordered GCSM notes...? I wonder if ordering one will delay the application. Stuck at "Test completed" since May 30 and absolutely no updates since.

I am on the same boat. Talked to a nice agent two days ago and she mentioned exactly same statement! Vancouver office and criminality done waiting for security! I'd be grateful if you could keep me posted when you get yours!

How did you know you got your criminality done? Did you order GCSM notes?

Only my Citizenship Test was marked as complete until yesterday. Logged in today and everything is complete now. I have a business trip coming up next month to the states so a little worried I’d have to postpone my ceremony. Hopefully the oath email comes soon.

Vancouver office? When was your test completion date? I am stuck since May 30

Hi guys I submitted my Fingerprints on June 11th, IRCC confirmed receipt on July 12th. However my background check still hasn't been cleared - agent mentions that background clearance is still pending, so likely the security part. Does anyone know how long this usually takes? Thanks

Oath date has been really unfortunate. I'm travelling to the states September 7-11 for a conference and I'm giving a talk on the 10th. I have no choice but to reschedule this. What would be the process?

Received an email last night about my oath. I informed them today for rescheduling and got back a reply within 2 hrs telling me that they've put me back on the queue to be rescheduled after my travel dates. I didn't expect such a prompt response, but hopefully I get a desired date and not get stuck.

Yeah not all the agents are accommodating. Try calling again and ask especially about the status of your background check
