March 2018 Outland Spouse Visa

Hi we sent our application to CIC - Mississauga for outland Spouse PR visa which was received on 23rd March 2018. My wife, a Canadian citizen and sponsor received a mail from CIC stating that the application is received and the processing started on 3rd May, 2018. Should I (principal applicant) also be expecting a mail of acknowledgment?

Yes the PA should get one with the invitation to link to online account as well.

Hi - Just a quick update, I received a mail from CIC asking me to proceed for medicals. The correspondence addressed to me has another UCI. I guess this is specific to me. Used the UCI to check my application status using ‘online tool’ and was successfully able to pull up my record. Status said “in-progress” . I have to submit medical report within 30 days. I guess the process is underway ...

Hi did they already request your passport. My husband was March 8 applicant too.

Yes They did ...Decision made 9 November, Passport request 12 November
