I sent my full application package (NOC 6242) to CIO Sydney on 27 Feb 2012, recd there on 02 March 2012. Now waiting...!!

My application ( NOC 7251 ) was sent on Feb 29, 2012. Received and signed by GLEN on March 5, 2012.
On March 6, the total number of complete applications was 8817. I hope we will not be outside the 10,000 Cap.

My brother in law mailed his application today and then I saw on CIC's website that they are warning that people who mail their application now might not make it in time because they are approaching the 10,000 cap very soon. My brother in law and I put so much work into the application, I feel really bummed out.

March 8, 2012 update: we are still receiving a high volume of applications and expect to reach the global cap of 10,000 applications very soon. People applying now should be aware that there is a strong possibility that their application may not arrive at CIC before the cap is reached.

Hi,
You are right. This was just posted . They are warning about the applications that are just sent. But, they are not telling about other applications which were received already by them beginning of March.
It is not clear how they can return applications when they are not sure if the 10,000 cap applications that will be taken will get PER and reach a happy conclusion.
Also, it is not clear how my NOC 7251 for example with only 61 completed applications will not have the chance like other NOC'S. Many things are really not clear. I hope if I can get explanations for their process.
Anyway, let us pray and see. We have put a huge efforts and money to prepare the applications. I hope they will not fly away!!

Hi Jaydipal,

If I were you, I will definitely do it since it will cost you only the cost of the courier in case they want to return it back for full cap. Add to that, your NOC is still not full. In addition, the weekly number of completed applications has decreased last time from 250 to 168.

After having so much efforts in preparing the application, it is a shame not to try. Good luck.

My application ( NOC 7216 ) was sent on Feb 27, 2012. Received and signed by M.KRSZWDA on March 2, 2012.
On March 13, the total number of complete applications for NOC 7216 was 483. I hope we will not be outside the 500 Cap.

Many occupations are already full so I would think the numbers would slow down now and hopefully not get to 10,000 for a few more weeks.

Anyone know how long it takes for an application to be opened and counted in the 10,000?

I applied March 3rd, received my one M.Krszwda on March 8th. My category is 7215.

Really scared by that 10,000 cap!

I will have to resit IELTS and prepare all documents again!..

The website says it was updated again today but the cook number is the same and it's still 9090.
