Hi,

I've sponsored my husband who is a US Green Card Holder and Pakistani National. Application was send within Canada (inland app). Application was submitted mid Feb of 2012 and was received on March 1, 2012. However every time we check the status of our app it shows

1. We received your application for permanent residence on March 1, 2012. That's all. Nothing more or less.

Application was submitted in mid Feb 2012, received March 1, 2012, With medical report, police check and fingerprints.
Processing started on June 22, 2012, File transferred to local office Calgary in October 2012 and was given a 12 month Waiting time for an Interview.

Any thoughts why there hasn't been any update or when we be receiving any?. Every time we call CIC all they say is that our app/file is in the queue for an interview by local immigration office in Calgary on or before March 2014. Total processing time was 19 months which is over in September, 2013.

The processing times shown on the website are estimates. It's the average time in which 80% of the applications were processed in the last 12 months. It's definitely not a guarantee that anyone's file will be processed in that time frame.
