SETTLEMENT PLAN PART I.

Hi everyone, I have some questions here. Hope you can help me..
For a regulated profession such as nurses, how will i address this questions:
1. If your occcupation is regulated, can you start the licensing process before you arrive? YES/NO (I answered NO, am i right?)
If yes, pls explain what steps will take to start the licensing process before you arrive in manitoba.
2. If your occupation is not regulated, what steps will you take before you arrive in Manitoba to ensure you find skilled employment soon after arriving? (do i need to answer this one if my occupation is regulated? or i just leave it blank?
3. Are you planning to upgrade your job skills before you arrive in manitoba?
YES/NO If yes, explain what steps you will take to upgrade your job skills.
4. Some occupations require higher language proficiency to be employable in manitoba. Do you have the language ability required to start employment in a skilled occupation after you arrive? YES/NO (If i say yes here, should i take the IELTS Academic then before arriving in manitabo someday?

Hope you will enlighten me with these questions for those NURSES who had already submitted their applications. Thank you in advance.

I've done some searching.

As an internationally educated nurse, your first step to becoming a nurse in Canada is to apply to have your qualifications assessed by the National Nursing Assessment Service (NNAS):

Following the assessment you would apply to the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba:
http://www.crnm.mb.ca/applicants-international-requirements.php

I haven't seen anything to suggest that you cannot apply for NNAS prior to arriving in Canada.


You will need to prove that your English language level is sufficient for your particular job. Registered nurses have a NOC of 3012, which is a skill level A job. You can take either an IELTS, or a CELPIP test. My understanding is that you would need to take the 'general' exam, not the 'academic' version.

I would recommend contacting NNAS first, just to make sure that you can start the process before arriving.

Assuming you got the required grades in the IELTS-G exam, then I absolutely would.

I'm not familiar with the form you're referring to, but I'd assume it should be left blank, or 'n/a'.

Hello, just google it. You can find it there in different websites. Mine i got it on pdffiller.com however just this week i tried to print a copy of it but it can nk longer be accessed, but you should try though. By the way, wer did you got that settlemnt part 2? I'dlike to have one also for my sponsor
