I have read one article which says :
A friend or distant relative in Manitoba who is a Permanent Resident or Citizen of
Canada, has been residing in Manitoba for at least one year, is economically
established and is not currently supporting the settlement of another applicant
through the MPNP.

Is this actually working? I want to know if somebody has done it in past. It gives 10 points additional for a friend as a sponsor. I have my childhood friend living there for more than a year now.
