Hi all,

I submitted my PR application under Manitoba PNP for Long haul truck driver last year in April.
I got additional documents request on first week February 2023 and IRCC asked for updated schedule A, employment letter, last 4 paystubs, last 3 months credit card and bank statements.

I had issues with my employer and he terminated my employment around 15th January 2023. I requested him to provide me employment letter to submit. He said he is only gonna provide me letter last time. I have submitted all the documents before deadline.

2 days after submitting documents, I received 1 more request that according to Your Schedule A you are in India for family visit currently, please provide us the information when you are coming back to Canada. I came back to Canada 2 days ago and submitted my airline ticket and boarding pass before deadline.

my question is what should I do now as I am not working with employer tied to my work permit and LMIA.
How long it should take now take to get PPR?
What are the chances that IRCC again ask for employment letter and pay stubs.?
what are my options if I want to change my employer now?

thanks for the help

My question is what should I do now as I am not working with employer tied to my work permit and LMIA. You no longer have legal authorization to work in Canada due to termination and the fact your work permit only allowed you to work for that employer. You must inform MPNP immediately of your termination.

How long it should take now take to get PPR? Nobody knows.

What are the chances that IRCC again ask for employment letter and pay stubs.? Every chance - don't bother asking this. They know when you've lost your job.

what are my options if I want to change my employer now? Speak to MPNP about how they can support you. Try to find a new employer willing to support you with an LMIA or an MPNP Work Permit Support Letter (this is easier than getting an LMIA).

The main risk of all of this is that MPNP gives you a deadline to find a new job in order for them to support your nomination. So you should apply for jobs and find a new employer willing to support you, pending a new LMIA application or an MPNP support letter.
