Hi!

To those who have successfully landed in Manitoba, can you please share your experiences: say for example, finding apartments, looking for a job, cost of living, expenses, weather, etc... this will be a BIG help for us who are still preparing and dreaming of living in Canada.

Thanks so much!

School was canceled. You can still go out, but not for very long. Pumping gas is not very fun on those days. :D

Wait for the floods in Spring :( Mosquitoes in the Summer :( then join the 20,000-25,000 Manitobans who migrate OUT every year.Thats why if not for the incoming immigrants Manitoba would be depopulated

Plus the high crime rate of Winnipeg :( But I know people regularly go to MB since they are less strict then the Provinces where the people really want to live, then stay a while then move to BC :D Ontario,Alberta etc

Housing is way cheaper in Manitoba,It is more expensive in Vancouver.Supply and Demand,Places where people want to live are more expensive then places where people dont want to live. For example Why are the people in the Investor Class mostly going to BC.Simple,Since they have the money to live anywhere. For Example West Vancouver with its 3 to 8 million dollar homes is called the richest postal code in Canada. So it must be desirable because many people will pay crazy prices for it.I know a man who owns 22 homes in Manitoba which he rents out but He lives in Victoria???
