Within 6 months from receipt of a completed application from the Case Processing Centre in Mississauga (Canada).
Recently, many cases are coming out of Manila completed in 4 months...it's hard not to be hopeful of this but at the same time who knows....if it's of interest to anyone sponsoring a spouse in the Philippines, here is my updated timeline:
April 3rd, 2009 - Application Fedexed to CPC Mississauga
April 7th, 2009 - Application Received by CPC Mississauga
April 28th, 2009 - “Decision Made” and file sent to Manila according to e-CAS
April 29th, 2009 - First able to logon to e-CAS
May 1st, 2009 - Sponsorship approval letter
May 14th, 2009 - Manila began processing the application according to e-CAS
May 18th, 2009 - e-CAS changed from "Not Available" to "In Process"
May 25th, 2009 - AOR letter received with request for passports
May 26th, 2009 - Passports couriered via LBC to Manila
May 27th, 2009 - Passports received by Manila
July 6th, 2009 - Letter dated June 3rd received requesting Solo Parent ID and history of relationship with biological father
July 9th, 2009 – Documents sent to Manila via LBC
July 10th, 2009 - Documents received by Manila
July 10th, 2009 - Received packages containing proof of relationship
July 22th, 2009 - Asked my MP to initiate an inquiry to the embassy
July 30th, 2009 - Embassy replied to MP stating they received requested docs, file is in queue and a document verification result is still outstanding
