Hello, all
I am new to this forum so please be nice
I am currently a manager at Walmart here in the states. I am upper management (I'll keep my exact position a secret for now). I understand that there are (roughly) 333 Walmart stores in Canada, and I'm looking to transfer to one. I've been with Walmart for a little over a year and have recently decided to start thinking about relocation.
My questions:
How exactly (other than the obvious visit to my Personnel/HR rep) would I go about doing this?
Has anyone here ever done this/heard of this?
Do the rules for, say, Ontario differ from, say, somewhere in Manitoba?
Any other tips or pointers?
I grew up in Plattsburgh, NY and spent a lot of my life traveling to and from Canada and know much of the daily life/culture/etc. and am sure this is something I would do. My track record at Walmart is phenomenal so as far as I can see at the moment, the only thing that would/could hold me back is Canada herself (no offense to any Canadians out there!).
Thank you all,
ZG
