My Husband forward his application for citizenship in Aug/2017.. We got confirmation that the citizenship process had started in Sep/2017. GUESS WHAT!! We called 2 weeks ago Feb/2019 and it is still in process, even the clerk on the phone said that was a long time to still be processing. I started to wonder if it’s lost in some type of que in their system. Why my husband forward the paperwork to citizenship, it was so in order, his work is impeccable, he is so organized. It’s seem our hands are tied at the moment, I do feel the timing in processing is disgraceful and should be looked into by higher government officials. Again our hands seems tied up at the moment. My husband has been in Canada since 2010 as a PR. All of his paperwork is in order, as you can see he/we are extremely frustrated by the citizenship department.

A friend submitted shortly after or around that, it showed October 2017 online. He got the fingerprint request around Christmas and the final okay 1-2 weeks ago now waiting on document check.

Yes it can take a long time. Had you had any of the other steps like fingerprints requested?

Frustrating I know.
