I have a few queries regarding maintaining the PR residency Status. I have just received pr before few days but i have not landed in canada..
1. Are the five years considered from the date of landing or from the stamp which i have recieved? For me i have to arrive latest by march 2012 so if i go in february 2012 five years would be counted from feb 2012??. To meet the residency requirement how many days do i need to stay in canada and is that counted from the day of landing?
2. Once i land and immediately return after two or three days after applying for pr card is it fine??i know delivery of pr card takes 45 days but someone else my friend or relative can take the delivery of the same. and then i return after an year after completing my marriage formalities? Hope it is fine to stay for one year in india after landing as i have the pr card.
3. I have received pr and the girl to whom i want to marry is also finalized, but i know i cant marry right now as i have to land once in canada before marrying before landing. so is it fine if she applies for visitor visa and flys with me in canada togather for few days where in i can complete the landing process and pr card process and as well we can have short honeymoon ?? once i return then i can register my marriage and get the marriage certificate. Hope its fine.
4. Then i can go again after few months for processing the spouse visa and after doing the process for spouse visa, do i need to remain in canada till the visa gets approved or can i go back to india and when she receive the visa we both can fly togather. is it possible? or do i need to remain in canada till she gets spouse visa??? Hope as she had visited with me on visitor visa it would not affect the process of spouse visa as we were not married at that time. it would not be considered as misrepresentation of facts?
Thanks in advance
