Hi,

We are a family of five and we received our permanent resident cards (as a skilled worker) in Canada in May 2007. We last entered Canada on May 15th, 2007 and left to go back to the US (where we currently reside) on May 17th, 2007. We lived in the US ever since. Consequently, we do not meet the two year minimum residency requirement in order to keep our Canadian Permanent Residence. We would like to immigrate to Canada. Is there still a way to immigrate to Canada, keep our permanent residence and eventually become Canadian citizens? Thank you very much for your time.

Sincerely,
Alina

You'll have to re-apply as skilled workers under the current rules, if you qualify.
