Hello everyone!

I have recently acquired PR status, did a soft landing in September and now I’m back at my home country. I’m planning to move to Canada in December, my PR card is currently at my friends place in Toronto and I would like them to ship it via courier service.

I was told that DHL/FEDex do not delivery such documents. Further, some people said that they will deliver as long as you tell them that it’s not a PR, but an identity document. Others say that it’s completely safe and reliable to ship it with DHL, and there should be no problems.

Any suggestions? Can someone share his/her experience on shipping PR cards abroad.
Thank you!

Just have you friend put the PR card envelope in a DHL envelope. No one will read what is written there

Don't disclose to DHL that it is a PR card. Tell them that these are documents, wrap the PR card within a paper and then send it. It should be fine.
