Hi there,

I have made a mistake in my online application for a study permit. I wrote my full name in the family name section.

I realized that after getting the biometrics letter in the wrong name.

I have submitted like two webforms explaining this issue to correct the name. However, after I submitted it the confirmation message says it shouldn't take more than 28 days and before I submit it it said 5 days so I'm confused.

The biometrics letter will expire in 28 days from now.

This is my first time making application online. I don't know what to do so I'm asking for help.

One more thing. I found a button says "start again" does that mean canceling the old application and make a new one and paying the fees from the start?

Thank you,

What is the actual error on the biometrics? I say go and try to get them done other than that there is not much else to do, webform is the only way to contact them 28 days is accurate.

The actual error is the name. My first name is followed by my full name. and it should be followed by my family name. and the confusing part in the application form is it said full name not family name but maybe my eyes got it wrong. I'm so stressed at the moment and I don't know what is the correct action to take.

So its john john doe?
I don't actually think you will have a problem, just go do the biometrics and see if anybody even brings it up.

It’s John John (fathers name) (grand fathers name)

Would it make a problem for me if they took the biometrics under that name? I mean I’ve paid for it already so they are going to forward everything to cic and I have submitted a web form to cic explaining the error!

This is my first time ever to apply for canadian visa. And I stayed for hours to make sure everything in place. However this mistake is making me so stressed.
