Hi all,

I originally created my EE profile with NOC 2174 (software engineer), I have been working for over a year as a software engineer in Canada since I graduated. Yesterday, I changed my NOC from 2174 to 2173, in order to match with my employer reference letter. However, I noticed after this change all my Canadian work experience related CRS scores are gone! so now my overall score dropped from 410 to 362. It turns out one of the questions asking if I have legal status working during this time, I accidentally answered No. I believe this is what caused my CRS score drop.

Now after I realized this I immediately corrected the answer and score has not been updated yet, hopefully in next 24 hours it will be.
I hope the mistake I made won't permanently affect anything in my application and CRS.

Remember this event and be prepared to answer if CIC asks about it in the future.

Also you can & may provide a Letter of Explanation mentioning your genuine circumstances for such change was a mistake which you rectified as soon as you noticed it.

I reckon he doesn't need to attach an LOE for a corrected error at the profile creation stage of EE. It's an overkill.

Just thought NOC change was sensitive

I agree its an overkill that's why i said he can & may.

I think ibejiopad is correct and I was wrong. But i was concerned about the NOC changes.
