My fiance and I will are planning on getting married November 15 2008, he is 19 in Canada on a student visa and we have are on an extremly low income. I am concerned that I need to have more of an income to sponsor him and that his student status will create difficultes in his immigration process. We are also concerned about when he will be able to start working in Canada after we are married.

There is no way to sponsor him under spousal sponsorship program until after you are married. I'm not sure if you can apply to sponsor him while he is on a student visa. You need to find that out. As far as your income, as a spouse, you really don't have to earn much money to qualify as a sponsor. Once you apply to sponsor him, (if you do an inland application) it could be over a year before he gets the 'permanent resident visa' and he may not receive a work permit until near the end of the process. If you sponsor him through the (outland process) it may take less time, depending upon what country he is from. Get on the CIC website, follow the proper links and read....read....read!!!

y dnt u borrow some money and keep it in savings for about 5 months so that u can show to chc u have the money.
maybe ask a relative for a loan rather than go to a bank.
