So I have a job offer, Employer has submitted LMIA application and are waiting for the interview which will be a telephone call - should be any day now !
How will I know if I will need a medical exam, Im thinking I will because I will be working with young children. Will the LMIA request this ?
Also when all this is complete, do I have to apply to CIC for a temp work permit ? From the info I have read because I am coming from a visa exempt county UK, I can apply at the immigration when I arrive in Canada? Well that's what I understand from the info I have come across.
Got the job offer in Feb, feels so long ago.
Suitcase is already packed and I just want to get there !!!

No, the LMIA will not request that you do a medical. If you are going to apply for a work permit upon entry, you need to be proactive and get the medical done. Ensure you do it several weeks before entering Canada so that it has been reviewed and approved in the system. If you come to Canada without having an approved medical, your work permit will be issued with a restriction that you cannot work with children.
