I have a question from a colleague who lost her expired passport and she will only be able to bring her recent valid passport to the test and interview with the agent next week. Will that trigger a RQ ? is the old passport needed. Most of the Stamps for her absence are in the lost passport !

She left Canada 2 weeks after sending the Citizenship application and currently resides abroad since 2 years for family obligations and she plans to come back to Montreal as soon as possible to avoid losing her Permanent residence.

Any person was in similar position ? any advice ?

Yes - it's quite possible the lost passport may trigger RQ. There's really nothing she can do. She'll just have to hope her new passport is enough for CIC.

Hi
Documentation of the loss of the passport via an official police report or equivalent will assist her credibility , mb if possible to get exit / entry logs from the countries she used to travel to and from will be good evidence

Dear members,

Hello, I have also lost my expired passport, but its expiration date was before my first arrival in Canada.
Actually, I entered Canada in June 2014 and became PR the same date, obviously I used my new passport (still valid) to get enter, my expired passport expiration date was for September 2013. Since my PR date, I did not leave Canada.

So this could be an issue on the test/interview day?

Thank you in advance.
