Hi everyone, I’m planning to apply for my Canadian citizenship this month, and I need some advice. I arrived in Canada as a permanent resident, but I lost my passport from my home country after living here for about a year. I reported it to the police and got a new passport.
Since I came to Canada, I haven’t traveled outside of Canada using my old passport. I’ve only recently used my new passport to travel once.
When I apply for citizenship, I know I need to provide copies of my passport for the last 3 years. I’m wondering if the loss of my original passport could cause any issues with my application. Will it delay the processing time or affect my eligibility in any way? Has anyone here experienced something similar?
Thank you in advance! Any advice would be really helpful!
