I applied for a work permit a year ago I was accepted and received a permit document which was stapled into my passport. My work permit is still currently in effect. The issue is I then went travelling in the USA and lost that passport with the permit stapled inside of it. I now have a new passport however I no longer have that permit in my possession. I am meant to be returning to Canada in 2 weeks and starting a job there in 3 weeks so my situation is very urgent as I have signed a work contract. I've been trying to get in contact with the Canadian embassy here in the UK however I've had no luck. I am wondering whether I even need to get this document replaced or whether I can utilise a letter of employment provided by my workplace in Canada and my visa work permit confirmation email upon arrival at the airport in Toronto because this is basically all the documentation I had with me the first time around 1 year ago upon my first entry into Canada. i doubt this is the case so if it's not I will need to fill out an application for the replacement of this lost document however as I am travelling and will be arriving in Canada in 2 weeks I will need the processing of this issue to be done as an URGENT before I travel. If I do need to fill out an application and send it through how do I go about getting it regarded as urgent so that I can have my new document before I leave for Canada.
