lost passport and visa

I recently lost my passport in india, i had canada visitor visa! I have been to canada multiple times.

I was travelling last week and just before my travel dates I misplaced my passport. Do I have to reapply for a canadian visitor visa and go through the entire process or is there a way I can get visa again?

Canada Immigration Site doesnt show any tips or I cant find anything. Can anyone help or suggest what do i do?

If your passport with a valid TRV is lost or stolen, you must first report you passport lost to the police, replace your passport. Once you have a new passport, you can apply for a new TRV. Include a letter of explanation that contains the police report number and a brief explanation why you are applying.

Can you share what was the procedure of get visa restamped on new passport in India.
My dad also lost their passport with TRV on it.
