lost passport after sent cec application

Hi guys,

I'm in a trouble, please give me advice.
The situation is I sent my cec application in Canada a couple weeks ago and I'm having vacation in Korea. Unfortunately it seems like I lost my passport.
I think I need to get a new passport and probably I will not be able to get one which has same passport numbers.
In that case, do I need to let CIC know about it? and how can I do this?
Is it gonna affect my CEC to be approved?

I am assuming that you haven't received AOR yet, Wait for your AOR first .

Then Get your New Passport and once you get it send the photocopies to CIC and send a email explaining your situation . Usually if passport is lost there is a police report you need to make , once done you can send the photocopy of it too , to prove your point .

Rest its not gonna effect your application for sure as its not your fault.

You might have a chance that you might get it back if somebody returns , for that wait till AOR once done apply for new passport ASAP , don't forget to do police report and have a copy of it in ENGLISH.
