Lost one of old (expired) work permits

So I graduated from a Canadian institution (PhD), I worked in Canada for a 2 .5 years (yeah, I didn't apply to CEC then...I'm dumb), went overseas to work for 4 months, then I've been back in Canada for more than a year with a closed work permit (valid till January). I can't find my 3 year open work permit!!!

I know that I was always legally in Canada, during my studies and work (almost 10 years in Total!), so I know that CIC has this information in their database. Would they reject my CEC application if I can't submit previous permits?, even if I mention in a letter that I was always legal temporary resident in Canada?, if so, is there a way to ask for a letter of confirmation of (past) status from the Canadian Government?

i think if your UCI number is same as old one so it wouldn't be any problem. doesn't matter what you say to them they have our all database . But try to find its photocopy ,never know when they can ask you about that. But as long as its old and expired , i don't think they will bother about it because you need current one.

Submitting previous work permits is not a requirement. CIC has issued those to you so if they need them it's at their fingertips, a few letters and mouse clicks away.
