Hello Fellow Members,
Hope you all are doing great.
PLEASE!!!. .... I need some advise and maybe suggestions urgently as time is running out for me.
Here is my timeline.
2010 - I entered Canada in Jan and studied for a year at GBC in Toronto
2011 - I got myself a job at one of the Big 5 banks
2012 - I switched my job and moved to a Private Wealth Mgt firm as they were willing and applied for my LMO as the Bank wasn't able to help me (They say the grass is greener on the other side .. boy did i realize how incorrect that statement was)
Since I started working at this new Wealth Mgt firm from March 2012 my life was a living hell and I was being mentally tortured and was almost getting into depression, at the end of my probation in September the firm said they were relieving me of my duties and they didnt need me anymore, hearing which i was very very glad as I could not take the pressure anymore. It was a 3 man firm including me. My boss was a very nice man but he used to always be on trips abroad and so his partner took all the opportunity to put me through hell. I'm glad its all over. Before being asked to leave I had applied for leaves to go to my home country and get civil married to my long time girlfriend as I needed the civil marriage certificate to apply for our permanent residency (which to me now looks impossible as i do not have a job anymore).
I got civil married in my home country and just got back to Canada 2 days ago now I really need some guidance as to how I should be going about filing my permanent residency as by January I am eligible under CEC. My wife now is a Neuro Physiotherapist and has great opportunities to settle in Canada, but I do now know how to go about with the application or what doors can I take? At this point in time I do not have the money required to pay lawyers so Im forced to sail the sea alone.
I need some advise please ... any advise would be a helping hand to me and my spouse... I want to know what steps can i take to apply for my PR now or maybe my wife can apply ... but me not having a job now does that make any difference.
Thanks a million for your understanding my fellow members.
Neel
