Lost Application @ Sydney Center

Looking to see if this has happened to anyone else.

Finally got to the 1095 cap in mid November. Sent the application via Fedex on Dec 5th. Package got delivered on 7th with signature from someone at Sydney Center. I've been waiting for ecas update since. Once I saw that few members on here that had send application in December had their ecas updated, I started to get worried and finally called call centre today. They have no record of my application in the system and the lady told me they are processing late December applications right now....

How is it possible that the application is lost if it was delivered and signed for? Other possibility is that I missed something and they returned the application but that would have been a month ago and I should have received it now.

Not sure if I should just resend or try and figure what happened...

Sorry to hear about this.
The best thing to do in my opinion is to ask the call centre for advice. You could also send a letter with a copy of the signature proof.

So by some miracle looks like my original application has been found at Sydney Centre. It must have been lost somewhere... Now ecas shows received Dec 7th and started processing march 23rd, about a month or so later than the other applications from December 2012.

Meanwhile the call centre specialists I talked to had asked me to resubmit the application again. Do you know if duplicate applications would cause me some trouble?

I have similar case when it was already 5 month from the time of my application was sent to Sidney office and call centre advised me to send another application which I did early Jan 2015.

After I sent my application with Fedex they sent me email AOR.

my question to senior members here what will happen to 2nd application. Do they sent it back or? also I have not included any cover letters stating that it is my 2nd application since 1st one appeared to be lost.

please advice

1-) You should have included a letter stating that it is your 2nd application since 1st one appeared to be lost.
2-) Send a letter now explaining the situation and asking them to return the second application to you since the 1st one has been found and is now in process

You may also contact them via call center and/or case inquiry to explain the situation and asking them to return the second application to you

I think the normal AOR is 1-3 months, is it right ....

CIC claims it is 2 month......

thanks for reply. has anyone been to similar situation, where you have 2 application sent to CIC?

Normally AOR takes 1-2 months but it can take upto 4 months
