Lose job after receiving ITA

Hello everyone.

I applied work permit in May 2018 and I got it in July 2018. I started full time job in June 2018.

I do not have job from 1st-19th January 2020. Also I was laid off due to COVID-19 from 25march -19 april. Then in April I started again in same company.

On 11 June I got ITA. I have claimed 2 years of Canadian experience. I thought that I will submit documents in August ending to cover these gaps.

I am laid off today again. Will it impact my profile?

My question is even if I find a job then how can I change my profile?


Should I decline ITA?

Depends. If you were only able to count one year, would your CRS score still have been high enough to get an ITA in that round (437)? If so then it's a moot question.
