So i just submitted my spousal application today it will be mississauga then will be going through the nairobi office--am just looking for any recent
nairobi applicants and anyone registering time lines as i will be waiting for long periods and would use some encouragement and see fellow time lines.

I haven't mailed in my applications yet ..... but when i do .... NAIROBI will be reginal processing center for my spouse application.

Wish me good luck ... I am hopping it wouldnt take more than a year to complete/issue visa.

Hi Guys,
I have the encouragement that you are looking for! I sponsored my Kenyan husband and processed through Nairobi. Our case is pretty simple. We met in person in Africa, we got engaged 9 months after meeting, got married 1 year after meeting. We are roughly the same age and education level. We have no children. I think this simplicity along with the fact that we had met each others families before marriage really helped to get our case processed quickly.

Here is our timeline:
CPC-M received our application March 9, 2011
CPC-M started processing our application April 7, 2011
Sponsor decision made April 7, 2011

Nairobi received application April 15, 2011
Nairobi started processing August 18, 2011
My husband received the PPR on Aug 18 via email
My husband submitted his passport on Sept 14, 2011
Decision made Sept 21, 2011
Hubby picked up passport Sept 22, 2011

My husband will be landing in Canada on October 21, 2011!!!!!

Congrats Kristin-- i hope mine goes through just as smooth--as u know the processing times now for just sponsorship approval is over 2months but am being hopeful that soon my husband can get sponsorship approval and then the wait with nairobi begins--but congrats to u it only took you 7months--thats really awesome.

Congrats!! I hope mine goes the same way as yours. Because my case looks like yours. We met while I was living in Africa. Married to each other 2 years later. Our parents are good friends too, no kids also. Also we have the same age. I wish you lots of luck with your married life!

This thread just made my Friday the 13th.... I hope my process is as smooth as the process as some of your applications - The information is very similar to my application. My application is on it's way to Nairobi as we speak - I'll be there next week to see my husband! I thought that I would be preparing to move back to Kenya to be with him this summer - but with any hope maybe he will be here with me! ;D

Been waiting for 10 months to be re-united with my common law spouse. Permanent Residence Application recieved in Nairobi on July 20, 2011. I am in need of some positive words of wisdom. I have e-mailed Kenya and keep getting told he is in interview Queue. :'(

We got the permananet resident visa 5.5 months in total time !!! It would have been a little quicker but we were traveling.... Thanks for all your supports

It has now been 11 months sisnce I have seen my common law spouse. I keep getting told we are in queue for a interview and we will be notified when a date has been set. I have been hearing this for months and months. I am very frustrated. I have tried calling and keep getting told to email them but it is the same old story when I e-mail. Please help is there anything I should be doing which I have not done yet??? :'(

when did you submit your application and did you send it to nairobi? i really want to know what you did because we have the exact similar situation. please help me out
