Backstory:
Post Grad Work Permit expired Oct 2024
Applied for PR non-express entry through nominee letter and confirmation of nomination around September 2024
Had applied to extend work permit in July 2024 and after Oct 2024 was working under implied status while awaiting to hear back from the extension application.

Unfortunately, I received refusal letter this week for the work permit extension as I selected Open Work Permit on form 5710 instead of LMIA-exempt option on the form as I was informed I would need to apply for Bridging Open Work Permit. (Unfortunately my nominee letter is employer specific and that is why I was denied. There was also some back and forth with my employer about the existence of this LMIA-exempt A# that I needed. Have now learned that my employer and HR did not know what they were doing. Have since obtained this A# as of this week.)

I want to sort this all out the proper way but I am unsure if I apply for restoration if it will restore my Post Grad Work Permit as these have a limited life.

At the top of the form I am selecting "Apply for work permit with same employer" and "Restore my status as a worker."

However, there is not much in options for uploading documentation. I will need to figure out what I will need to upload and how. The only thing I have is "client information" which I will be using to upload my letter of explanation of my mistake. I hope that my nomination letters for PR will work for uploading as the PR letter won't expire until July 2025 (Or does this expiration only matter for the PR application?).

So will restoration process restore just PGWP or will it be like a two-in-one application where it will be applying for this closed work permit as per my PR nominee letter stating that they recommend a 2 year T13/LMIA-exempt work permit as well?
