Hello everyone, there is just a ton of information with all different situations. And It's great to see everyone trying to give advice.
I'm hoping that someone could help advise me on my situation.
I'm a Canadian Citizen who's working and just this past Novemer I got married in Indonesia to my wife who is an Indonesian Citizen.
After a short honeymoon, i returned to Canada (in December) leaving her in Indonesia.
I applied to Sponsor as a Permanent Resident in January.
I have not received any response yet on the application submitted.
I am planning a trip to visit her in April and planning on having her visit me in May.
I'm worried about her application for a Visa to come visit me. Should she wait for me to get a response from the CIC office on the PR application before applying?
Does it make a difference?
I saw posts regarding applying for a Temporary resident Visa versus a Tourist Visa.
Would it be better for my wife to apply for a Tourist Visa versues a Temporary Resident Visa?
Sounds like most people first try for the Tourist Visa then go for the Temporary Resident visa.
Does this sound like the best way to go? (although waiting until the PR goes through would probably be best, but both my wife and I are desperate to see each other and start married life together)
Regards,
John
